Holly Gillanders2024-11-25Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Hello from Canada! My daughter attended Long Lake Camp for the Arts for three summers. The absolute best summers she has ever had (and might ever have), the friends for life from all over the world, the wonderful counsellors, owners, teachers, folks who run the camp….everyone really. The sky is the limit in terms of the performance and visual arts offerings. It’s really worth it and my daughter will never forget the wonderful memories. So, my child just finished her fourth year at Long Lake, and I could not say any more positive things about her experience. Staff are so great at getting children to really engage and join in different activities from circus, to dance, theater, art/photography and music. When she started at Long Lake it was the 1st year after COVID and my daughter nervous about this new experience, to be frank like a lot of children she was missing social interaction but wasn’t sure what to do. She came home from that three-week session confident and more engaged (even from a school perspective). She immediately asked to go back the next summer for six weeks instead of three. Over the last 3 year We have hosted several of her camp friends over the last few years in our home, and it such a great mix of kids. To say they a good time is an understatement. My kid is a little different and has experienced some bully and harassment. At Long Lake they were able to fit in and have the time of their life. The staff goes above and beyond for you and your child. We have already put our deposit for next year. I can go on and on about how good this place is why you should send your kid there. 250 per session and there is 150 counselors for those kids. That is not counting grounds, food, ancillary, and administrative staff. My kid is safe there.
Creativity Without Limits
At Long Lake, campers have 100% freedom to choose the arts they love—or discover new passions. There’s no ranking, no pressure—just endless opportunities for expression, skill-building, and pure joy.
A Summer Your Child Will Never Forget
Looking for a summer where every day brings excitement and discovery? At Long Lake Summer Arts Camp, every sunrise is a new adventure. Imagine your child stepping onto a stage for the first time, painting a masterpiece, or diving into the lake with friends—every moment sparks creativity, confidence, and pure joy.
Creativity, Confidence, and Lifelong Friendships
This isn’t just summer camp—it’s where kids ages 8–16 grow, laugh, and discover who they truly are. Last summer, twelve-year-old Alex painted a mural that told the story of his favorite adventures, while his new friends cheered him on. Whether your child loves performing arts, fine arts, or both, they have the freedom to choose what excites them most, all in the stunning beauty of the Adirondacks—with sparkling lakes, green forests, and endless skies.
Why Long Lake? Because Every Child Deserves to Shine
Imagine your child:
- Performing under the spotlight in a theater for the first time
- Mastering circus arts, cheered on by new friends
- Creating a photograph that captures their unique vision
At Long Lake, every camper chooses their own adventure. Campers also enjoy horseback riding, tennis, ATV adventures, and plenty of waterfront fun. With just 225 campers and 145 staff, each child receives personal attention, building skills, confidence, and memories that last a lifetime.
